The Role

We are actively seeking a Project Engineer to support Scanmudring’s continued growth. This position offers a compelling variety of office, workshop and field responsibilities. Supporting both local and international projects, this role will be based in St. John’s and will require significant travel.

Responsibilities
As part of our team, successful applicant will be tasked with:

• working with engineering team on remote operated system developments and testing
• planning, logistics, execution, and close out of onshore and offshore projects relating to special underwater excavation, construction and intervention works
• assist with operations, engineering, concept development, R&D, business development and tendering activities as required
• liaising with vendors and customers
• other duties as assigned

Qualifications
You are a team player with:

• EIT or P.Eng. (various experience levels considered)
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and project / supply management
• Excellent work ethic, time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Eagerness to work onshore and offshore both locally and internationally
• Valid certifications for offshore work, or willingness to acquire certifications

Assets
With experience in some of the following areas you might be the perfect fit:

• Fabrication, assembly and SIT activities
• Remotely operated systems, offshore construction, intervention, decommissioning activities
• 3D design and drawing preparation using Autodesk Inventor
• Heavy equipment operation & maintenance
• Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system design
• Structural analysis and optimization
• Seafastening and rigging design
